This policy explains how Global Surat ("we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (the "Website"), and how you can control them. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They let the website recognise your browser on later visits, keep features working and measure how the site is used. Similar technologies work in much the same way, including browser storage (local storage and session storage), pixels and tags.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are "first-party" cookies. Cookies set by another company's service embedded in that website, such as a map or an analytics tool, are "third-party" cookies. "Session" cookies are deleted when you close your browser; "persistent" cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.
2. The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These make the Website and the features you ask for work. They cannot be switched off in our systems, but you can block them in your browser. Some features will then stop working.
Business Growth Planner (
gs_calculator). A first-party cookie that lets your saved scenarios reopen when you come back, without asking for your details again. It holds a random token, is readable only by our server, and is set only if you use the Planner. It lasts 12 months, and "Forget this browser" in the Planner removes it.Introduction animation (session storage). Remembers that the opening animation has already played in your current browser tab, so it is not shown on every page. It is cleared when you close the tab.
Security and performance. Our hosting and content delivery providers may set cookies that protect the Website against attacks and spread traffic across servers.
Analytics
These help us understand how visitors find and use the Website, so we can improve it. We look at the results in aggregate.
Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_<ID>), loaded directly or through Google Tag Manager. They distinguish visitors and sessions and last up to 2 years. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
Marketing and advertising
Where enabled, these measure how well our own advertising works and allow us to show our advertisements to people who have visited the Website.

Providers sometimes change the names and durations of their cookies. This table reflects the Website at the date shown at the top of this page.
4. How to control cookies
